It is 5 years since Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Priyanka Chopra gave us the epic saga ‘Bajirao Mastani’. The romance-drama was a smashing hit at the box office, all thanks to the impeccable acting chops by the lead stars.
In the film, Ranveer played Bajirao, the great Maratha warrior, who was married to Kashibai but fell deeply in love with the warrior princess, Mastani, forming a love triangle that literally went down in the history books. However, off-screen, it seems, that the hunk found himself at the losing side when a girl he loved, ditched him for another man.
What better day than #FlashbackFriday to recall the time the actor spilled the beans about being the Kashibai in a love triangle. In a throwback interview, the actor admitted he knew how it felt to be the neglected one in a relationship. He revealed that he had seen a lot in life and recalled a girl he was in love with, left him. Without revealing too many details, he said that she married and has kids.
Touted as one of the highest-grossing films of 2015, the magnum opus minted over Rs 356 crore worldwide.Singh marked the film’s fifth anniversary by sharing the video posted by Bhansali Productions on his Instagram stories, while Deepika shared a still from the film as her display picture and changed her name to Mastani on her handle.
