    Cyber Crime: Pune Police Help People Get Back Rs 23.2 Crore, Appeal People To Immediately Lodge Complaint Of Online Fraud

    Pune, 13th August 2021: People who lodged complaints with the cyber police immediately after money was transferred by fraudsters from their accounts, were able to get back the amount. In the last two and half years, Pune Police has helped people get back Rs 23.2 crore.

    According to police, cyber ​​crime is on the rise and fraudsters are luring citizens with various kinds of offers. Despite appeals from time to time, citizens are falling prey to the lure.

    In case of online fraud, the complainants need to report such information to the Cyber ​​Police Station in Shivajinagar immediately (Golden Hour). The cops contact the nodal officer of the concerned bank to stop the transaction and get the money back from the fraudsters’ account.

    Police said that if a transaction has been done, send the screenshot of transaction, message, bank name, account number, debit card or credit card number, link, mobile number to the cyber police stations’s WhatsApp number. People can also inform the bank officials in whose account the thief had diverted the money.

    • Do not download the mobile clone app. 
    • Do not open unauthorized links. 
    • Do not provide OTP number or debit card, credit card information on mobile. 
    • Contact the cyber police helpline number immediately after the online fraud.
