    Former union minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal said on Monday that she had forewarned Centre not to finalise the farm laws without consulting farmers but they did not hear her out. “This is why farmers are on the roads over so many days in the biting cold. I’m more shocked by the fact that GoI remains unmoved by their misery!” Badal added.

    Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel said on Monday said protesting farmers’ outfits have sprouted like “kukurmutta” (mushrooms). “They are not farmers but wheeler-dealers and anti-nationals,” Patel said during a press conference in Ujjain as part of the BJP’s outreach programme to sensitise farmers.
