    Pune District: Section 144 Imposed At Tourist Places In Lonavala, Mulshi, Khadakwasla, Sinhgad Fort And Other Spots

    Pune, 16th July 2021: Section 144 has been imposed in the tourist areas located in Pune district in the backdrop of the Coronavirus disease (COVID 19) pandemic. There will be ban on gathering of five or more than five people at one place. Also, vehicles are banned within a kilometre of the waterfall, dam and other spots.

    Since last few weekends, over 1000 tourists were being penalized by Pune rural police for violating Covid norms. On the request of Superintendent of Police (Pune rural) Dr Abhinav Deshmukh, Pune District Collector Rajesh Deshmukh who is the chairman of the district disaster management authority issued order today to impose section 144 (1)(2) of the Criminal Procedure Code at the tourist places.

    Where do these rules apply!

    Maval taluka: Bhushi Dam, Ghubad Lake, Lonavla Dam, Tungarli Dam, Rajmachi Point, Monkey Point, Amrutanjan Bridge, Valvan Dam, Ekvira Temple Complex, Vehergaon, Tiger Point, Lions Point, Shivling Point, Carla Caves, Bhaje Caves, Lohgad Fort, Visapur fort, Tikona fort, Pavana dam area, Bhaje waterfalls

    Mulshi taluka: Lavasa, Temghar dam, Mulshi dam, Sahara city, Pimpri Dari Point, Kalvan, Tamhini Ghat, Palshe waterfall

    Haveli taluka: Sinhgad Fort area, Khadakwasla dam area, Donje

    Ambegaon taluka: Bhimashankar temple area, Kondwal, Dimbhe dam, Ahupe tourist place

    Junnar taluka: Naneghat, Dare ghat, Wadaj dam, Manikdoh dam, leopard rehabilitation centre, Shivneri, Sawand fort, Hadsar fort

    Bhor taluka: Warandha ghat, Rohdeshwar, Raireshwar, Bhatghar dam, Niradeoghar dam, Nageshwar temple, Ambawde, Bhor Rajwada, Narayanpur temple, Panwadi ghat, Bopdev ghat, Diveghat, Malhargadh

    Velha taluka: Torna fort, Rajgad fort, Panshet dam, Varasgaon dam, Madh ghat

    These things not allowed

    – Gathering of five or more than five people at any place

    – Going into fast-flowing water, swimming in it

    – Going to a waterfall or sitting under a stream of water

    – Taking selfies and shooting videos at dangerous places

    – Drinking and getting drunk in the vicinity of waterfalls created by rains, carrying alcohol, transporting alcohol, selling unauthorized liquor and drinking alcohol in the open

    – Stopping vehicles on traffic roads and at dangerous places

    – Driving carelessly while transporting vehicles, overtaking in a dangerous condition

    – throw food, garbage, glass and plastic bottles and thermocol and plastic materials in public places

    – Harassing women in public places, tingling, making rude or obscene gestures, slandering or doing anything that would cause embarrassment

    -Vehicles banned within 1 km of the waterfall
