Viman Nagar, 26th January 2023: The Social Security Cell of the Pune City Police Crime Branch raided the Rude Lounge, a rooftop pub in Viman Nagar for playing loud music.
Acting on a tip-off, the team conducted raid on Wednesday night as the loud music was being played after 10 pm at the Rude Lounge located in Trade Net building near Phoenix Mall in Viman Nagar.
Police have seized the sound system as well as the DJ mixer totally worth Rs 2.5 lakh. The action has been taken against the pub operator under the Environmental Protection Act 1986 under the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control of 2000) Act. The seized music systems have been handed over to the Vimanthal Police Station.
The action was taken by team comprising SSC’s Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav, API Aniket Pote, and police personnel Pramod Mohite, Tushar Bhiwarkar, and Pushpendra Chavan.
