Pune: Residents Form Keshav Nagar Welfare Association To Raise Their Issues

Keshav Nagar, 29th January 2023: Keshav Nagar residents have formed a legal association under The Companies Act 2013 by the name of Keshav Nagar Welfare Association (KENWA). More than 40 societies of Keshav Nagar are in the process of becoming a member of the association to voice their issues with Civic Authorities and the government.

Keshav Nagar, which has been a part of PMC since 2017, lacks necessities like roads, traffic, Water, Drainage facilities, street lights, and others. After many efforts from individual societies, nothing has worked out for the residents. The legal association, which is now formed, will represent the majority of the societies of Keshav Nagar, which has more than 10,000 families.

Last year, the residents of over 30 societies did a silent protest with banners about the condition of Keshav Nagar, but authorities did not take any positive action for the betterment of the residents.

Fear and frustration loom over Keshav Nagar residents as more projects are coming up in that area while there is no infrastructure to cater for the existing residents.

Residents have also been raising their voices on social media with #justiceforkeshavnagar to bring the attention of authorities and politicians.
