Karvenagar, 26th December 2021: A 21-year-old youth was killed with swords by three persons in Karvenagar today evening. Pune Police officials suspect that the incident is a fallout of past enmity.
The deceased has been identified as Anil Rajendra Jadhav, a resident of the Dahanukar Colony.
According to police, Jadhav’s engagement ceremony was scheduled for Monday. Around 5 pm today, he had gone to drop his sister at Fakkad Hotel where she works as a cook. He was intercepted by the attackers near Shakti Chowk. They assaulted him with sharp weapons and swords. He left his two-wheeler and tried to escape but the assaulters chased him and again attacked.
After getting information, officials from Alankar police station reached the spot and rushed him to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival.
Police said that the attackers seem to be acquainted with the deceased. Teams from Crime Branch have also joined the probe.
“His mother died six months ago. He has four sisters and three of them are married. As he was not on good terms with his father, he lived with his sister. He worked as casual worker”, an officer said.
