Pune/Mumbai, 12th August 2021: A youth from Pune has been arrested for allegedly making call to a man for returning Rs five crore, using voice of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar.
Chakan police station under Pimpri Chinchwad police has registered an FIR against the youth identified as Dheeraj Dhanaji Pathare, a resident of Yashwantnagar in Kharadi. Prataprao Waman Khandebarhad (54) of Kadachiwadi in Khed taluka has lodged the complaint.
According to police, Khandebarhad had borrowed Rs one crore from Pathare. However, Pathare had compounded the interest on this amount by 10% per month. So this amount increased from one crore to five crores. Pathare demanded his money back from Khandebarhad. As he could not return the money, he gave up his 13 acres of land in Chakan in the name of Pathare.
However, Pathare again asked Khandebarhad for money, saying that the land he had taken was not being sold. Khandebarhad had filed a complaint with police against Pathare that time also.
Even after this, Pathare was not in the mood to listen.
Phone directly from Silver Oak’s number!
Pathare made an alliance with a man named Gurav and Kiran Kakade. With the help of a computer software, Gurav called Khandebarhad in the voice of Sharad Pawar and asked him to return Rs five crore to Pathare. Kakade had acted as assistant to Sharad Pawar.
Meanwhile, the frightened Khandebarhad again ran to the police. At that time, the police investigated and tracked down the accused. A case has been registered against Gurav, Kakade and Pathare, said Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Krishna Prakash.
Sharad Pawar’s phone rang in Mantralaya too!
Meanwhile, a similar incident has been reported in Mantralaya in Mumbai. A person called an officer in the voice of Sharad Pawar directly for the transfer of administrative officers. Mumbai Police registered a case based on complaint from the officer and have arrested Pathare.
After his custody gets over there, he will be arrested by Pimpri Chinchwad police.
